Today, the trail crosses over the Bhote Koshi and follows the south side of the Langtang Khola (stream), which we will follow for the next few days. You are immediately immersed in the natural wonders of the Langtang National Park. You will likely see monkeys playing alongside the trail, and if you are lucky, red pandas and bears. The climb to Bamboo, 1960m is mostly gentle with a few steep ascents. The trail crosses a suspension bridge to the north side of the river. The climb to Rimche, 2400m, is steeper and the vegetation becomes sparse. From here it is a gentle ascent to Lama Hotel, which is not a hotel, but a small settlement.
