Everest Base Camp & Kalapather Trek Itinerary

Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative of Himalayan paradise Trek and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, you can relax or explore the bustling streets of Thamel, the heart of Kathmandu. In the evening, a briefing about the trek will be provided by your guide. -
Day 02 Sightseeing in Kathmandu
Explore Kathmandu’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites:
Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple): A hilltop temple with panoramic views of the city. Kathmandu Durbar Square: A historic square filled with temples and palaces. -
Day 03 Fly to Lukla (2,820m) and Trek to Phakding
Early morning transfer to the airport for a scenic flight to Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region. Upon arrival in Lukla, meet your trekking crew and start your trek through lush forests and picturesque villages. Pass by small settlements, prayer wheels, and suspension bridges as you approach to Phakding. -
Day 04 Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar
Cross several suspension bridges, including the iconic Hillary Bridge, over the Dudh Koshi River. Enter Sagarmatha National Park at Monjo, where permits are checked. The trail ascends steeply to Namche Bazaar, the vibrant hub of the Khumbu region, offering stunning views of Everest and surrounding peaks.

Day 05 Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar
To adjust to the altitude, you will take a short hike to the Everest View Hotel (3,960m) for panoramic views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and other peaks. On the way, visit the Sherpa Culture Museum or explore Namche’s markets and cafés.

Day 06 Trek from Namche to Debuche
Follow a scenic trail with breathtaking mountain views, passing through Tengboche. Visit the Tengboche Monastery, one of the most important monasteries in the region, before descending to the peaceful village of Debuche.

Day 07 Trek from Debuche to Dingboche (4,410m)
Walk through rhododendron forests and cross the Imja Khola River. Ascend gradually, leaving the treeline and entering the arid, high-altitude landscape of Dingboche.

Day 08 Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche
The trail becomes more rugged, passing through the Thukla Pass (4,830m), where memorials for fallen climbers are located. Enjoy views of Nuptse, Pumori, and other peaks as you approach Lobuche.

Day 09 Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364m) and Return to Gorakshep
Begin an early morning trek across glacial moraines to reach Everest Base Camp. Spend some time at Base Camp, enjoying the incredible views of the Khumbu Icefall. Return to Gorakshep for the night.

Day 10 Hike to Kala Patthar (5,550m) and Trek to Pheriche
Start early to hike to Kala Patthar for a breathtaking sunrise view over Mount Everest and surrounding peaks. Descend back to Gorakshep for breakfast and continue downhill to the village of Pheriche.

Day 11 Trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar
Retrace your steps through rhododendron forests and across rivers, descending steadily to Namche Bazaar. -
Day 12 Trek from Namche to Phakding
Continue downhill, crossing suspension bridges and passing small villages. Arrive in Phakding for your penultimate night in the Everest region.

Day 13 Trek from Phakding to Lukla
A short and pleasant trek takes you back to Lukla, where you will celebrate the completion of your trek with your guide and team.

Day 14 Fly Back to Kathmandu
Early morning flight to Kathmandu with beautiful variable views of the Himalayas.
Transfer to your hotel for relaxation or shopping in Thamel.

Day 15 Sightseeing in Kathmandu
Enjoy a free day to explore Kathmandu’s vibrant markets, cafes, and cultural landmarks.
Optional activities: Pashupatinath Temple: A sacred Hindu temple on the banks of the Bagmati River. Boudhanath Stupa and Patan Durbar Square. -
Day 16 Transfer to the airport for Departure
Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward flight. Farewell to Nepal with unforgettable memories of the Everest Base Camp Trek.
